The North Bear Chapter of Trout Unlimited continued its efforts on educating people about clean water and conservation in addition to the importance fly fishing (we even gave introductory instruction on how to fly fish). To those broad goals, TUNB provided four, two hour introductory classes that provided some basic fly fishing instruction, hands-on fly-tying and casting, information on great places to fish, and the conservation of streams here in Iowa. Sessions occurred in Ames, Waukee, Urbandale and Des Moines.
Moreover, TUNB also presented on Trout Unlimited's history, its goals, and involvement in conservation efforts. The North Bear chapter is delighted to welcome new TU members who joined us after attending.
